"Not a punishment for the unvaccinated"
For Aftonbladet, Tegnell is developing what special recommendations for the unvaccinated could mean.
- If you are not vaccinated, you must continue to live much as we live today. It will be a great individual responsibility, he says.
So it will not be about vaccinated and unvaccinated people not being allowed to do the same things, like eating at restaurants or going to a football match
There is no possibility of any other type of control for this. But you can imagine that you can get people who are not vaccinated to avoid places where there is a lot of congestion, by informing about the risks of infection there, says Tegnell.
He also says that the Swedish Public Health Agency has got the impression that there is a great deal of understanding among Sweden's population when it comes to any special recommendations for the unvaccinated.
- This is not about us imposing a penalty on the unvaccinated. It is a matter of informing them that they are in a different type of risk category than the vaccinated.”
