I've been spouting the transhumanist narrative for a while, but now that I've set off down the DeFi rabbit warren...I'm wondering what's what again! Surely DeFi is one of the most incredible infrastructures fiercely bubbling beneath the surface, though most people aren't even aware of it (yet), that genuinely threatens The System, but it's also seducing us ever deeper into the machine too...can anyone set me straight?!

Or maybe it's just this phase where the DeFi developers practically have to be plugged into their machines in order to create the structure, but if DeFi really took off, and once it becomes easier to understand, then the average person would be able to do transactions relatively simply online without tech taking over their life.....🤔
The weird thing about it....is the 'seduction'...

its like a weapon. depends who controls it and who setup the rules. defi runs on a trustless system. but that doesnt mean it cant be setup like a centralized ponzi. just just like CBDCs will be (central bank digital currencies)

yeah, makes sense, and it seems to be pretty vulnerable at the moment, with quite a few million dollar hacks this year, but I appreciate the mindset of some of those trying to develop such a complex alternative, though I wonder if eventually it will require entering a VR world to do any & all transactions, to meet people, etc...which would eventually make this world fade out...but ~ who knows?!
